HISTORY
EI, Escuela Normal Superior Santa Teresita de Sopetrán, was founded on April 4, 1939, by Father Thomas Maria Zapata and was conducted until 1994 by the religious community of the Carmelite Sisters. levels of preschool, basic primary and secondary cycle, medium and smooth cycle in its scope, serving a population from the municipalities of Sabanalarga Liborina and Olaya, the rest of the municipalities of Santa Fe of Antioquia, Buriticá, and San

Jerome. It also receives a large number of children and youth from different townships in the municipality.

SYMBOLS:

THE FLAG OF OUR NORMAL

The flag Normal: it has two equal stripes: white and one brown.

The white color signifies purity, obedience, firmness, vigilance, eloquence, maturity and innocence.

The brown color, symbolizes the mantle of love and reminds us of Caramel Habit Santa Teresita.

A Carmelite Sisters owe this beautiful symbol: The flag. "Wanting to our flag is the principle of love for our institution."

THE SHIELD OF THE NORMAL SCHOOL

The Normal emblazoned his coat of old Gothic form, third in Soter, to indicate their affiliation Carmelite.
